The London Area Theatrical Committee would like to invite you to attend a long awaited face to face meeting where we can meet and dance as a group again!
We have organised, what we hope will be an iconic programme with classes that you will all enjoy and find something to take back to your schools.
Venue: The Lawrence Weaver Hall, Green Lane, Morden, SM4 5NS
9.30am – Assemble.
10.00am – A free jazz class taken by Robbie McMillan who is currently in ‘Anything Goes‘. You will not be disappointed with Robbie’s enthusiasm and lively style of teaching.
11.00am – Coffee break.
11.15am – A first for us! we are delighted to welcome Matt Smith. Matt is the leading dancer with ‘Lord of the Dance – Feet of Flames‘. He will be showing us basic Irish technique that everyone can attempt (Tap shoes or Jazz shoes will be on fire!).
12.15pm – AGM – a short meeting which we hope you will all support.
12.45pm – Lunch
1.15pm – Ballet with a difference! From the ENB Paige Bestington and Giorgio Garrett will be giving us teaching ideas for dances in a classic/contemporary fusion. These will be taught at Junior/Student and Senior levels – so something for everyone.
2.15pm – Tea
2.30pm – A Musical Theatre Potpourri! With the launch of the new Musical Theatre syllabus this Autumn we would like to give you a flavour of what this entails. Join in with the Class and Preliminary syllabus – sit back and be entertained by some student demonstrations of what is expected for grade work and finish up with a sing along led by our very own Ben Briscoe!
