INTERNATIONAL
MEDALLIST
FESTIVAL
NEW EVENT FOR 2025
FRIDAY 11th JULY
THE SPANISH HALL
WINTER GARDENS, BLACKPOOL
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO
The competition is aimed at Juvenile and Junior Medallists both home and abroad, who have taken an NATD Medal in Ballroom and Latin American within 12 months of the competition taking place. Competitors will dance solo without a partner in all sections that they wish to enter. Juveniles will be restricted to dancing up to and including Gold syllabus figures with no restrictions whatsoever on figures danced in the Junior sections, this is irrespective of the grade of medal that has been taken. Dancers will not have to qualify at an area event to take part in this once in a lifetime extravaganza. Competitors will be judged by a truly international panel of adjudicators from all over the world.
This event does not take the place of the Medallist of the Year Competition which will follow in the Empress Ballroom on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July, the rules are completely different. This competition is aimed at medallists who will dance solo and if successful will be extended in 2026 when the NATD Celebrates its 120th Anniversary. Although there is still a lot of work to do it is hoped that the program will be extended to include adults of all ages from around the world and include competitions in Classical Sequence and possibly American Smooth. As soon as there is more information, I will share it with you all.
Solo dancing is very popular with lots of competitions now available for the solo dancer. Be the first school to pledge your support for this event – it is going to be amazing – check out the website for further information – support your caring / sharing NATD as we introduce yet another amazing event into our action packed calendar.
