BALLROOM
The five standard Ballroom dances are Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz, they are danced all over the world. The name Ballroom Dancing came from the beautiful Ballrooms where people gathered for a social night out, sadly many of these Ballrooms no longer exist. But Ballroom dancing lives on, often on our Television screens and now danced in open spaces such as sports and leisure centres. Whether you want to Ballroom dance as an amateur or professional, as a couple or solo the NATD has an examination suitable for Juveniles, Juniors, Adults and Teachers. Ballroom dancing has become a competitive sport and our medals and examinations are a fantastic stepping stone for the aspiring “Strictly Star” dancer.
