North Eastern

Positions Held: Ballroom branch examiner, North Eastern area committee chairperson, Sequence Senior Examiner.

I moved from Ballet to Ballroom and the NATD aged 8 (noted by the man on the moon) and the Saturday morning class at McCulloch School of Dancing in Peterborough. I can still smell those white chocolate mice and have fond memories still of ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ music for Quickstep.

Moving to Luton and then to Grimsby, I joined Lillian’s Dance Studio and continued my studies with the NATD, completing my exams (including doubles), also taking my Ballroom Student with Roy Moxon as my examiner.

My professional training was completed at The LP Dance Centre in Whitby and I thank them for their support and encouragement over the many years.

The NATD have been there all through my life and will continue to be so. I am proud to be a member and examiner of the NATD. If only I could tell my first teacher…
