THEATRICAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Our Ballet, Tap, Modern & Contemporary Theatrical Scholarships offer a platform for aspiring performers in both Northern and Southern heats, leading to the Grand Finals in Birmingham each October. These scholarships recognise the skill and artistry of students in a variety of theatrical dance genres, providing a national stage for dancers to shine while pursuing their passion for performance.

WHAT IS IT?

Back for its 6th year our NATD Theatrical Scholarships are a firm favourite. This event offers candidates the opportunity to participate in a 30-minute class in their chosen dance genre.

These classes are led by highly experienced professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge to each genre. Each candidate receives a score out of 50 with the top 5 candidates from each category advancing to the Grand Finals of solo performances.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Entries are strictly through your NATD Teacher and you have the opportunity of entering any of our four qualifying heats in London, Midlands, The North & South West.

Qualifying events are held in London, Midlands, North & South West by our Local Area Committees for our 2026 Grand Finals.
