⚡️GRADED EXAMINATIONS –

  • Class & Preliminary Syllabus encourages musicality and groove for our younger dancers and starts them on the right path ready for the higher grades.
  • Locking Grades 1-5. “Locking” is a significant element of the Original Street Styles that originated in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It’s characterised by quick and distinct movements, strong arm gestures and exaggerated stops or “locks,” hence the name “locking.” Get those tunes on and learn Locking foundations through our syllabus.
  • Breaking Grades 1-5 – Breaking emerged from the Bronx in the 1970s and gained popularity at block parties, parks, and street corners. Part of the five pillars of Hip Hop and now classed as an Olympic Sport, breaking is once again coming to the forefront of the Original Street Styles scene.
  • House Grades 1-5 Born in the late 1970s in Chicago, House music got its name from the legendary club ‘The Warehouse.’ DJ Frankie Knuckles blended disco grooves with electronic beats, creating a genre that has endured for over four decades. Whether you’re a younger dancer practicing foundational moves or an older student reclaiming your clubbing days, House is here to get you moving! LOVED by dancers of all ages, this syllabus is a must have for your weekly classes and great for examinations for all ages.
  • Hip Hop Grades 1-5 Starting in the late 80’s and early 90’s it boasts banging tunes and dance moves to match and is a firm favourite of all ages of dancers. With over 40 foundational Hip Hop moves, this syllabus is sure to give you enough content for your classes for many years to come.
