NATD together with Dance Safeguarding Services are proud to offer a Level 2 Safeguarding Course at a special price of £25 to NATD members and £40 for non-members. The courses aim is to protect you as a dance professional whilst being a reassurance to parents and students which is an increasingly important and challenging issue.

This comprehensive recognised Level 2 Safeguarding course with validated CPD, will provide you with the knowledge you need to support students and colleagues and ensure safety and wellbeing. The safeguarding of our students is of paramount concern and a corner stone of best practice.  It may be used for adjudication and work roles as required and is particularly tailored to the dance sector.

This course will provide not only theoretic knowledge but clear practical guidance on how to address safeguarding concerns. It will provide key information about how to maintain a healthy and supportive dance environment where every child is value and cared for.

Broken down into 4 key sections this course will:

• • Highlight relevant guidance, and legislation and raise awareness around current safeguarding challenges
  • Explore how we identify safeguarding concerns and help raise awareness of the types of concerns we may encounter
  • Teach the correct responses to disclosure and how to hold difficult safeguarding conversations.
  • Explain the necessary recording, information sharing and reporting procedures for your concerns.

In addition to proving essential safeguarding and best practice training this course is tailored specifically to the dance industry. It will give examples relevant to the field and will focus on the safeguarding challenges that are most relevant to the profession.
