Theatrical Scholarships Grand Finals 2022

👋 When you arrive: You’ll receive a warm NATD welcome by Trudi, Shellie & Jemma who will scan your QR-Code tickets. Please have these ready so that we can get everyone in nice and smoothly. Please note that general 4g signal is low on the campus so please print your tickets or screen shot them just in case you can’t access your emails on the day. However, free wifi is available at the venue if you wish to use this.
💃🧍🏼♂️Competitors & their named Chaperone or Teacher: On arrival we will scan your tickets and you will be given a backstage wristband that will gain you spectator and backstage/changing room access. You can then go straight to the backstage area to get ready. Chaperones are allowed to move freely between the backstage area and auditorium area. Competitors under 16 years of age should accompanied by their named chaperones outside of the performance time slots.
🧍🏼♂️Spectators: On arrival we will scan your tickets and you will be given an audience member wristband that will gain you entry to auditorium ready for the performances. general audience members will not be allowed in the backstage area.
📷 Official Photo’s: Professional photo’s will be available to purchase on the day. Audience members can video their own childs performance only.
☕️ Cafe: The Bramall Music Building Cafe will be open between 9am and 4.30pm. There are also local amenities if you wish to get some fresh air throughout the day. Unfortunately, food & drink are not allowed in the auditorium area.

Terms & Conditions: Competitors under the age of 16 are the responsibility of their named chaperone on the day. Ticket T&C’s can be found here.

MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT
The winners from our Theatrical Scholarships heats from the Midlands, North, London & South West will come together to perform solo numbers in the genre they were chosen. The solo performance must be 1 and a half to 2 minutes in length and must be fully costumed with theatrical stage make-up. There will be 24 candidates per section but in the event of a tie, the committee will grant an extra place.
There will be 2 adjudicators for the finals, both of whom are professionals in the dancing world! Once again they will each mark out of 50 and their scores will be averaged. The candidates mark from the heat and from the solo performance will be combined for an overall final score.
🏆 AWARDS – 3rd place, runner up, and our NATD Scholarship Champions 2022 will all receive a cash prize for their school to be put towards furthering their dance education.
1st Place – £100
, 2nd Place – £75 & 3rd Place – £50
All participants at the Finals will receive a Scholarship trophy.
🏆SPECIAL AWARDS – These awards are chosen by our adjudicators and are given to those competitors who they think show potential or who have stood out to them in some way but not necessarily the Winners. Our judges will explain their reasons for choosing these candidates on the Finals day.
